On their second EP, ‘Vol II’, Sweden’s Spelljammer have slightly reeled in the desert influenced stoner-groove approach that defined ‘Inches From the Sun’ in favor of a more doom oriented sound. The band hasn’t completely retooled their songwriting, but they have merely made an incremental shift in approach and the effects couldn’t be more stellar. All three tracks that make up ‘Vol II’ are immense, both in length and heft. - Steve Miller (Doommantia)

Track Name: Aun's Mountain
Servants of black skies
turn away the sacrifice
Tall waves of the sea
from his hands of sorcery

Tower of guiding light
rising through eternal night
Sing to winter sun
what we had and what we’ve done

Bloodline, last of man
rests beneath the burning sand
Shine on winter sun
A final sign, it will be done
Track Name: Electric Ground
All I see are burning skies
To the sound of rising clouds
In the cold we shield our eyes
Sealed below the silent ground
All I see has turned to hate
From the light there’s no escape
In the cold a distant sound
Closing in we tread electric ground
Beyond the burning cloud
Beneath the pending sky
Behold the burning sun
We tread electric ground
Track Name: Space Reefer
Nephilim return to see the world that you left
No hope of a final rising
False prophets turn their heads awaiting sunlight
Their holy sermon seeks the depth of your mind
Bow down to see the priests ascend to the light
Move through the violent sunrise
Their silver rocket heading fast forward in time
The cosmic eye releases legions of light
Below the seals are open
The towering black soon eclipses the sun
We left the star behind a future of one
